Justin is known for his work with high-profile clients in the NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, and NHL, as well as in privately and publicly held companies. As a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), Justin holds a Master’s degree in Education/Sport Psychology from Boston University and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (MN). This depth of training allows Dr. Anderson to bring a comprehensive set of tools and methodologies to his practice and the clients he serves. He is an active keynote speaker, sharing his insights on high-performance psychology and leadership at national sport and business conferences, and has been featured in multiple national media publications.

Education and Training

Dr. Anderson has an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of Minnesota, a Master’s degree in Education/Sport Psychology from Boston University, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (MN). He obtained a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Memphis, and a post-doctoral internship at the University of North Texas. After working with several Division I athletes/teams as a sport and performance psychology consultant, Dr. Anderson was invited to join the Legasus Group, LLC., a family business consulting firm in Kansas. There he worked with many innovative thinkers who are evolving the field of family business transitions. In 2009, Dr. Anderson moved back to his home state of Minnesota to be closer to his family and opened his own consulting firm – Premier Performance Advising, LLC. He currently works with businesses and teams with advisors from all over the country to deliver profitable, evidenced-based interventions.

License and Certifications

Dr. Anderson is a Licensed Psychologist in Minnesota. Premier Performance Advising, PLLC is based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN.

He is also a Certified Trainer in the Process Communication Model (PCM) from Kahler Communications. The PCM is an excellent tool for individuals, executives/managers, ownership groups, and business teams to better understand personal motivators, communication styles, and distress patterns.

Dr. Anderson routinely presents at many local, national and international conferences and organizations. Recently he presented at Family Firm Institute, Inc. (FFI) International Conference in Boston, MA about his Transition Preparation Assessment (TPA) tool. Cathy brings to her clients the insights and learning from over 25 years of consulting and line management experience in sales, operations, and human resources for a number of public and private organizations. She became widely recognized for her expertise in assessing and optimizing talent with large work teams as well as transitioning leaders into new roles, teams and organizations.

Cathy has coached and developed leaders at all levels, from C-suite executives to front line leaders and individual contributors in Fortune 100, Fortune 500, and global organizations. Having been both a business leader and full-spectrum talent consultant, she brings a unique perspective to her consulting approach and combines practical business experience with expertise in coaching, facilitating, and assessment to drive organizational success. Her industry expertise spans financial services, retail, consumer products, healthcare, technology, and manufacturing.

Cathy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Partner at Korn Ferry, a global organizational consulting firm.

Cathy frequently presents on pressing leadership topics and is known for the lively energy of her presentations and her engaging, thought-provoking approach across global audiences.
