With a rich background in leadership development and coaching, Ron Wuotila joins the Premier team as a Leadership Advisor.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Ron began his coaching career in 1994 at Mount Royal College, leading the men’s basketball program for six seasons and women’s program for one (he would later return as the school’s Manager of Athletics in 2003). Wuotila’s coaching expertise would later take him south of the border, where he spent three seasons on staff at Pitt, Duquesne, and Robert Morris University.

Ron’s coaching and leadership expertise expands beyond collegiate athletics; he played part in launching and served as head coach of the Centre for Performance of Canada Basketball from 2003-2005 and served as Head of Basketball Operations and General Manager of the British Olympic Basketball teams (men and women) for six years. In 2011 Ron returned home to Calgary where he sat at the helm of University of Calgary Athletics as Athletic Director for five years.

An accomplished coach and sports executive, Ron knows what it takes to get the most out of athletes and executives. He has spent the last eight years focused on elite coaching and leadership development, as well as organizational assessment and performance. He currently works with Canadian and Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams.

Ron has worked with athletes, coaches, and executives ranging from youth to professionals and Olympians in three countries. As a former coach and sport executive himself, Ron specializes in elite coaching and leadership development as well as organizational assessment and performance.
